I was fortunate enough to meet Andy back in 2009 whilst working with Lloyds Banking Group in Newport. He was a favourite with the people there renowned for his diligence and attention to detail. Professional to a tee, he always had time for everybody. It was the evenings where things came alive though. Scooting around with the top down on his BMW Z3 in the summer, or evenings in the town where he had an incredible ability to enjoy a night out while those around him slowly became a little more tipsy. He was always there until the end of the night. Wednesday evenings were a religion. 3 of us for dinner in the Toby Carvery and their famous Welsh puddings (Yorkshire puddings to anybody outside of Wales!). 

Many years later our paths would cross again in London at XLCatlin and we worked for a number of years together, then later on at AXAXL. An often stressful environment, an ability to laugh while staying focused is an attribute he had in abundance. 

There are many things I can thank Andy for. Career opportunities, friendship, the opportunity to meet people, many of whom I also now call friends.
